How an hour arguing about Inuyasha

    ■ Tantei Opera Milky Holmes – Amusing sometimes, but I only watching because the series will have excellent animation like the first season.

    ■ New Prince of Tennis – What Steev said

    ■ Recorder to Randoseru – look like every episode will be some of the same, so I’ll not be watching it

    ■ Amagami SS+ – Didn’t finish the first season, so I probably won’t be watch this one.

    ■ Kill Me Baby – Seem too generic for me.

    ■ Zero no Tsukaima F – Watching it just to finishes the series.

    ■ Rinne no Lagarange – Where Mouretsu Pirates failed to impressed me, Rinne no Lagrange impressed me with it’s creative direction

    ■ High School DxD – The light novel is pretty good but like 90% shounen ecchi anime adaptation, they’ll focus more the fan services than the story itself. And Thank you Norimitsu Suzuki, for that awesome ending.

    ■ Mouretsu Pirates – I don’t know what all the fuss is about. It just seem to be Coyote Ragtime Show with somewhat better female lead.

    ■ Senhime Zesshou Symphogear – Fumiaki Kouta as the Action Director, sign me up

    ■ Nisemonogatari – my favorite of the season.

    ■ Aquarion EVOL – Enjoy Aquarion, so I’ll watching this one, Although the female lead is already annoying

    ■ Ano Natsu de Matteru – You guys said pretty much what I thought

    ■ The Knight in the Area – Reading the manga and enjoying it, so I’ll be watching it to see how well it adapted.

    ■ Brave 10 – Looks like one of those series that have potential, but always fall short

    ■ Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai – surprisingly good and I’m looking forward to the second episode.

    ■ Another – What Steev said

    ■ Daily Lives of High School Boys – the wind breeze

    ■ Inu x Boku SS – had an hard time watching this one, kept falling asleep

We weren’t arguing about Inuyasha, we were just arguing in general.

The thing he got backwards was that the Inuyasha manga went on for years after the anime ended. The anime came back and did like a rush job for a final series to end off the anime since it kind of just stopped instead of ending. I could argue about that series for a long time though because the series was great until it became a “Lets see what new power Inuyasha’s sword can pick up.” In other words, the series had ran its course, but the mangaka was milking it for all its worth instead of ending it properly. A fine example of a great series going to hell.

        Oh Ok.

Steev, I believe Xcom was referring to how the original anime ended while the manga was still running then return with an new name to finish up the series, somewhat like FMA.

And I don’t see how you could complain about Inuyasha’s redundancies where One Piece is guilty of this as well.

There actually is a big difference in the two. One Piece has a greatly crafted world that has one mission, for Luffy to become the Pirate King. The world introduced is so vast that it is going to take a long time to achieve that dream. There is still a lot unknown about the back stories with a lot of mysteries that need to be settled.

Inuyasha on the other hand created a more limited scope. First was that Naraku is the one that cursed everyone. So the ultimate goal was to find Naraku and finish him off. By the time the anime ended, we already knew all of the back story and Inuyasha was stronger than Naraku. After that point the series turned into a Naraku running away and that continued for more than 20 volumes. The story had run its course, so it needed to end, but that wasn’t happening.

It would be like JK Rowling instead of how the final book ended, with the defeat of Voldemort, instead allows Voldemort to escape. Then she writes another book of Harry chasing him down. Harry learns a new spell in this book, which leads to Harry defeating him with that spell. However because Voldemort is tricky he manages to escape once again. Now repeat that same plot 5x’s. That would get annoying fast wouldn’t it? Everything should be over, but instead it gets dragged out so the author can make more money. That is what happened to Inuyasha.
